IT Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Your role
Based in the heart of Munich, or remote, we are looking for an IT Security Engineer to further establish and optimize our overall information technology security strategy. 

​Your daily tasks will include;
  • Supporting the design, development, application and configuration of security tools/functions to reduce and mitigate vulnerabilities
  • Reviewing and investigating security events to identify root cause and required responses
  • Reverse engineering & analyzing attacks to understand methods and support root cause analysis
  • Applying data analytics to inform and enrich understanding 
  • Working on a company-wide security initiative consisting of multiple security projects
  • Supporting development of secure solutions in cloud environments (e.g. AWS)
Your profile
  • Deep understanding of different security systems٫ including firewalls, intrusion detection systems٫ anti-virus software, authentication systems, content filtering٫ etc
  • Advanced knowledge of attack vectors and how to mitigate any exploitations
  • Proficient understanding of enterprise networks- LANs, WANs, vLANs and VPNs (virtual private networks)
  • Previous practical experience with IT Health Check penetration testing, ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials auditing
  • Expert working with networking, e.g., VPN, VPC, Security Groups, Routing, WAF, Load balancers, Route53
